I am happy to announce I have received a TRAVEL AND STUDY GRANT to begin developing my feature narrative-ish film JUGGALETTE/

After a long and extremely rewarding time within Buffalo's Juggalo community, production has wrapped and I am back in New York editing BUFFALO JUGGALOS. Over 25 Juggalos were involved in the production and I consider them to be active collaborators in the final product. MMFWCL

I've temporarily relocated to Buffalo NY for several months to develop my new project BUFFALO JUGGALOS.

It's been a while since I updated. The biggest piece of news is that IT FELT LIKE LOVE had it's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and IFF Rotterdam, and is now touring festivals worldwide and enjoying limited theatrical release.

Currently in production on my first music video for PATRICK BOWER & THE WORLD WITHOUT MAGIC. Co-directed with Eliza Hittman. Link coming soon!

I made a video for the LOCRIAN's new track "Obsidian Facades". Check it out!

SUNDANCE news:

1. Eliza Hittman's FOREVER'S GONNA START TONIGHT is set to premiere at Sundance, 2011. I served as Editor. It plays in the US Shorts Competition.

2. Rashaad Ernesto Green's GUN HILL ROAD is set to premiere in the Dramatic Narrative Competition. I served as Additional Editor.

Production on SPACEMONKEY has wrapped. A heartfelt thanks to all those involved. I'm eternally grateful. The shoot went wonderfully and I'm excited to get a cut together.

"Second Cousins Once Removed" by Eliza Hittman, edited by Scott Cummings, premieres in the International Competition at International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (Germany) in April.

I'm currently editing Eliza Hittman's fantastic short "Forever's Gonna Start Tonight." Look out for it!

"Launderman" will screen at Cinema Oblo in a program entitled "City of Angels: l’ ‘avant-garde’ de Los Angeles" on 10/28/09 at 8:30 pm. Thanks to curator Noel Lawrence!

Storm Tiger Mountain wins BEST SHORT FILM at the Downtown Film Festival!
Thanks to Roger, Greg and Henry, as well as all festival staff and volunteers. I had an amazing time!

I'm very happy to share:

"Storm Tiger Mountain" will have its American premiere at the Downtown Film Festival in Los Angeles. Details to come. Very appropriate, as the film was made in and about Los Angeles.

"Launderman" will have its American premiere at the Chicago Underground Film Festival. Details to come. One of my favorite festivals of all time. I couldn't make it when they screened "The Hesher." I can't wait to go this time!

I'm starting work on a new film: "The Fainting Game" (w/t) - Three middle school kids spend a lazy afternoon with a bottle of their parents' peach schnapps, until one of them suggests a round of "the Fainting Game." I'm currently writing it, with plans of possibly shooting on VHS (yes, I said VHS) in October.
